This week the network started to promote the 8th National Inclusion Week which celebrates everyday inclusion in all its forms. Whilst the week is an opportunity to highlight diversity and inclusion, we aim to promote and celebrate inclusion within MJN all year round.
Some of the key points from the Network –
- Diversity and Inclusion is integral to everything we do, from the products and services we deliver to our internal culture and values.
- We seek to amplify the voices of the underrepresented, underserved and disempowered so they have equal opportunities to participate and thrive in society here in the UK and abroad.
- Internally, we are proud to be building an inclusive culture for everyone through our values which promote human connection and understanding. In this way we seek to not only make everyone feel they are valued and have a voice, but also passionately united in a shared mission to level the playing field for groups that continue to suffer disempowerment and discrimination.
- As part of our ongoing commitment to this journey as an organisation we are also investing in several projects including an inclusive employers’ scheme, our new diversity charter, workshops to colleagues and more.
Finally, we want everyone to celebrate and feel proud that they belong to communities of people of different ages, races, sexualities, genders, religion, backgrounds, abilities.
We have a variety of events and sessions – follow our social media accounts to find out more. (search ‘Martin James Network’)
